Slack: Working Together with O365
Slack and Office 365
Slack is a messaging and collaboration tool used by teams and organizations to communicate, collaborate, share files and stay organized.
Slack came to Ceros looking to create a lead generation piece for their integration with Microsoft Office 365. Slack + O365 is designed to attract potential customers interested in integrating the Slack messaging and collaboration platform with Microsoft's Office 365 suite of productivity tools, creating a seamless experience for users.

The Setup:
Slack provided us with a comprehensive branding kit that included typography usage, UI elements, photography, and previous marketing materials. Prior to partnering with our team, Slack had developed an internal, static presentation deck about “Slack + O365.” Taking all the content they sent over, I collaborated with our content strategist and another designer to create a wireframe and design an interactive and animated branding toolkit that reflected Slack's unique personality and voice.
Design Considerations:
Throughout our regular meeting with the Slack team, we gained insight into their vision for the project’s narrative. Though challenging at times, I enjoyed getting creative in the Ceros Studio and exploring different approaches. I utilized interactions to trigger elements to move around the canvas, interactions to progress through a phased-system, and developed a mini quiz without any code involved. It was a pleasure to collaborate with the Slack team to bring their vision to life.

Key Takeaways:
In summary, I learned the importance of staying curious and thinking outside the box, using subtle animations to delight users without overwhelming them, and emphasizing the value of collaboration whether working with an internal or external team. By keeping these principles in mind, we were able to create a final product that aligned with Slack’s brand identity, met the project’s requirements and goals, and delighted the Slack team.
