Welcome to my humble (online) abode. My name is Katherine. I was born and raised in the very exciting land of suburbia Chicago. I am a sophomore at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Currently, I am studying abroad in beautiful Barcelona, Spain soaking in the culture and far too many crema catalanas.

Update! A new website is in the making! It's going to look pretty different and the overall theme will be brighter.
A celebrity's sponsored tweet that can generate millions of dollars in revenue; the power of the number 9 ($39.99 vs $40.00). I love learning how different factors influence consumers' behaviors, perceptions, and habits. I would love to work alongside companies, helping them build their online presence, analyzing statistics, and assisting in product development.
I stumbled across web development a couple of years ago, when I started a blog. Struggling with the limitations of a preset template, I turned to the Internet to show me how I could customize my blog. A search, a solution, and a snowball effect brought me to this point. I love coding because I can create exactly what I want and share it with the rest of world.
I'm proud to say that my Pinterest houses over 7,000 pins. Pinterest isn't about planning my far-off wedding and bookmarking DIYs that I'll never actually do. Pinterest allows me to find inspiration; it is a reflection of my love for home design, fashion, graphic design, and even food photography (yes, I will shamelessly stand on my chair in a crowded restaurant to get that perfect shot).
I've been fortunate to have traveled much of the world and I try not to take it for granted. I truly love experiencing different cultures and strongly believe that we should embrace our differences. I've seen the opulence and I've seen the slums; traveling the world has opened my eyes to the world outside my suburban life and has changed the way I look at life.
I studied Spanish for 7 years (5th grade to 11th grade). Although I don't take a Spanish class anymore, I am always learning new Spanish words and phrases on DuoLingo. Once I complete the Spanish courses, I hope to start French.
I also have been playing the flute for 7 years. Actually, the same exact years as I studied Spanish. I do enjoy picking up my flute once in a while and playing a tune. I hope that in 10 years, I will still be able to pick up a flute and play a full song.
I've been playing Badminton for 5 years so far and was on my school team in high school. My favorite shots are drop shots and smashes. I enjoy playing whenever I can, and I'm always down for a game.
